EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS
Todd welcomes all first responders, their spouses, partners, or family members, and survivors of critical stress traumas.
My style and approach is uniquely matched to meet the needs of first responders and survivors of critical stress trauma. I am not just another therapist with experience working with first responders and trauma survivors. I am a first responder who has shifted my focus from the front lines to supporting those whom first responders show up for (critical stress events) and those who are or have been on the front lines,
-
I've been there. I know the stories. I've witnessed the trauma, and I've lived the experiences. You don't have to worry about my ability to handle what you bring into the room.
-
I didn't just learn about the culture; I've lived it.
-
You can expect me to be honest and direct. I won't beat around the bush. I don't shy away from the hard stuff. I prefer to face it head-on.
-
I know firsthand the feelings of guilt, helplessness, and self-blame when calls go sideways or you feel like you did not do enough.
-
As a first responder, I've been there for people's worst moments and am ready to help those who have survived.
-
I don't believe talking helps resolve trauma, so I use a modality that is fast and efficient and will get you quick and lasting results.
-
I've sat in that chair, and it saved my life.

ACCELERATED
TRAUMA RECOVERY
Enhanced recovery entails elevating the frequency or duration of counseling sessions beyond the norms of traditional therapy. Intensive therapy aims to expedite progress and alleviate symptoms, enabling individuals to navigate intense and overwhelming trauma responses more swiftly and effectively. Utilizing Brainspotting in intensive sessions, a potent treatment focusing on the brain and body, aids in processing and releasing trauma, reshaping negative self-beliefs, and diminishing reliance on unhealthy coping mechanisms and problematic behaviors. This approach often results in accelerated improvements and a quicker development of coping skills, hastening progress and symptom relief.
In-Network Plans
Session Fees & Payment Options
All services are private pay or can be billed to insurance. Counseling services are often covered in whole or part through your insurance plan. I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross, Tri-Care, and United Behavioral Health/Optum. Depending on the benefits of your insurance plan, your 50-minute in-person or telehealth session may be covered in whole or part by your plan. I am happy to review your insurance benefits and inform you of any out-of-pocket expenses you may have before your first session. Verifying insurance benefits does not guarantee payment from your insurance plan. I highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the benefits of your plan before starting your sessions. If I am out of network with your plan, I will provide a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement. Accelerated Trauma Recovery sessions are not covered by insurance.

NO SURPRISES ACT
If you are not using insurance to cover the cost of your sessions, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. Click here for more information.
